This exhibition is a proposal for the temporary RIT Wallace Library exhibition which honors and celebrates Robert Panara, a beloved icon of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID). The main concept is based on the use of cardboard, a sustainble, universal, and recylable material. Cardboard can be shaped and stacked, reflecting the flexibility of language. The interaction of voids and solids reflect the essence of American Sign Language — where language exists in both sound, and it’s absence. The cardboard boxes both partition the space and serve as wayfinding to guide the user through. Software: Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Revit, Enscape.
